Alana supports with the management of several of our Complex Care packages. This includes overseeing the day-to-day management, staffing requirements and providing support to the team of contractors working on each package.

We pride ourselves on providing a service which operates 24/7, with our branch staff participating in our 24 hour on-call rotational system, providing management support to contractors and person-centred approaches to the people who use our services.

Alana was on-call at the time when urgent cover was required to support our client at 3am on Sunday morning. Due to the cover being critical and the potential risk this posed if the client went without the support they so desperately needed in these early hours, Alana responded by arriving at the hospital herself to cover the shift.

Alana’s remarkable dedication has not only been recognised internally, though also by one of our contractors, Hamzar Alliagbor, who was also supporting the client in hospital at the time and commented,

“I want to commend Alana’s efforts for showing up at the hospital that late to cover a shift, Alana has shown a great characteristic of a true leader and deserves an award!”

Our Manchester Branch Manager, Jenny McCrimmon, added,
