Amore Complex Care are looking for fun and outgoing support workers to support a gentleman in his 40s, who has a diagnosis of Neurodegeneration.

Meet the person you’ll be supporting:
- Who am I? I am a gentleman in my 40's.
- What activities do I do? I love watching movies, series and documentaries on CSI, Criminal minds, and Superheroes. I am also a big Manchester City Fan.
- What challenges do I have? My mobility is very restricted and I require assistance with my hoist and sling. My speech is also affected by my condition and is limited. I communicate mainly through hand signals, and head movements. I also have a PEG and require my medication through this.
- What types of people do I get along with? Bubbly, and chatty people who can match my energy. I am non-verbal, so I also get on well with people who can be patient with my communication. If my staff are funny we will get on just fine,
My team
- How many people support me at one time? 2:1 staffing ratio of a day time, and 1:1 for night shifts
- What shift patterns do my team do? 12 hour days/nights
- What are my team trained in? My staff will get a bespoke training course specifically to cover my needs.
Job responsibilities
- Assisting with goal-oriented activities and daily living skills.
- Monitor the service users physical and emotional well-being.
- Assisting with personal care.
- Supporting with sensory needs.
- Provide person-centred support.
- Support with household duties, such as cooking and cleaning.
- Assist the individual in developing and maintaining positive relationships in the community.
