Job description

Amore Complex Care are looking for engaging support workers to support a 30 year old with autism and a learning disability. We are looking for people with strong personalities, to help encourage this gentleman to get out in the community, and build positive routines with him.

What makes Amore Complex Care a great place to work:

  • Hourly pay of £11 an hour, and paid sleep ins paid at £50
  • Weekly pay!
  • Holiday allowance
  • We will support your career development by funding Health and Social Care diplomas and NVQs
  • Get paid for your training and induction with us
  • Enrol in our great pension program after 3 months with us
  • Referral bonus scheme – earn £100 for every successful referral!

Meet the person you’ll be supporting:

  • What challenges do I have? I have autism and a learning disability, so routines and encouragement are very important to me. When I don't stick to my routines, I can present behaviours that challenge.
  • What are my aspirations? I want to be more active and get out into my community more
  • What are my hobbies and interests? In my local area I like visiting the swimming pool, bowling alley, and safari park. I love spending time in the garden and on my trampoline, and have BBQs in the summer.
  • How would I describe myself? I am an approachable person and like to make people laugh. I can also get anxious quite quickly. When I am having a good day, I am good fun to work with.
  • What type of person do I get on well with? I like people who have got lots of personality, and are strong characters. I can be challenging at times so I work best with people who can be resilient.
  • Where do I live and what is my community like? I live in a house in Lowton, with parks, shops and cafe's nearby that I like to walk to.

My team

  • How many people support me at one time? I have 4 staff supporting me at each time. My team have been supporting me for years, and would help introduce you to me, and support you with getting to know my routines.
  • What shift patterns do my team do? 9am – 9pm, with the option for a sleepover shift as well.
