Our New Branch Nurse…. Maggie!

You may soon be seeing a new name and face around, as it is with great pleasure that we introduce Amore Complex Care’s new branch nurse, Maggie!

Maggie is a qualified nurse with over the 30 years’ experience in health and social care including heading up Professional Development Teams within the NHS where she has presented and provided development in a range of areas within Critical and Complex Care Services.

Maggie has worked in several nursing positions across hospital and community settings, including in critical care and occupational health. In addition to supporting patients and services Maggie is also a qualified Lecturer and training instructor and has a range of professional and further education qualifications including being a qualified Advanced Life Support instructor.

Maggie is just as committed as she was 30 years ago to ensuring that clients / patients receive the best possible care experience possible and enjoys engaging with and supporting the clients and families directly, whilst utilising her knowledge, skills and experience to support the care teams in building further skills and confidence in their delivery of care.

Having only been with us for 3 weeks, Maggie has already been working with our support teams to enhance their skills and knowledge, including holding a diabetes awareness session next week and a number of other sessions over the next month including caring for clients with acquired brain injuries, those with epilepsy and those who require a tracheostomy.

When Maggie has the time, she winds down listening to music and spending time with her family……she does like a bit of fun!

Maggie has always ensured that the client / patient is at the heart of everything she does and is passionate in supporting anyone to reach their potential in meeting the client’s needs.

We are sure that Maggie’s own motivation and passion will be inspiring to others and are confident that she will prove a valuable asset to the Amore Complex Care team!
