Clinical Support Worker – Wirral

Amore Complex Care have an exciting opportunity for a fun and understanding support worker to step up and help support a young man in his 20s who requires clinical support, including PEG feeding. We can provide all training during your induction process, and once completed, your pay will rise up to £14.00 an hour!

Meet the person you'll be supporting:

What challenges do I have? I am diagnosed with Athetoid cerebral palsy, severe learning disability. I have diabetes and I’m non-verbal and wheelchair user.

What are my aspirations? To continue to enrich my quality of life, accessing the community.

What types of people do I get along with? I get on well with chatty staff who can have a laugh with me. I also have 2 pet dogs.

My team

· How many people support me at one time? 1:1

· What shift patterns do my team do? 12 Hour day shifts, 12 Hour night shifts.

· What are my team trained in? My team go through a comprehensive training and induction process, bespoke to me and my clinical support needs.

Mark Willis, Service Improvement Inspector : "I've worked with clients who have autism, learning disabilities or struggle with their mental health for over 20 years. I started out as a support worker for several years and wanted to go in a more senior position, so I became a Senior Support Worker, a Frontline Manager, a Service Manager, and then there was an opportunity to work for Amore as a Senior Complex Care Case Officer. Amore has really been fantastic: there's an open-door policy here, especially when it comes to the management team. I've worked here now since January of 2024, and I've now transitioned to working within the Service Improvement Team as an internal inspector. This new role is really fulfilling me since I'm going out and meeting the clients like I did as a Case Officer, meeting the staff and and seeing the fantastic work they do with the clients that we have. The main difference now is that I get to meet every client and all the support staff, whereas as a case officer there was only a few clients and their teams that I would oversee. It's great to get an insight into everyone, since I'm very much a people person!"
