Alan Lunn shares why he #LovesToCare

We are continuing to spread the love not just on Valentine’s Day, but throughout February!

You may recognise Alan Lunn from a previous post in which he dressed up as Santa last Christmas to deliver presents to the children at the service he supports.

This month Alan shares his story of why he #LovesToCare:

“Prior to joining the Amore Group I spent 2 years doing domiciliary care. This involved visiting elderly people and administering medication and preparing their meals. I would provide company and make the time to sit with them and have a chat, as many had little or no family. I liked that because I knew they were not alone all day.

“I got to know a few quite well and enjoyed listening to the stories they had to tell. I felt I was doing something good because they had done so much for us during their lifetime.

“I then thought about a career change and joined Amore. In my role I now support young adults. I love this job because I feel I am helping them live the life they want to live and supporting them in reaching their full potential.

“Even though some days can be quite challenging I go home knowing I have helped them in some way.”
