Art Therapy In Action – our second session!
We’re always exploring new ways to connect with our clients and understand their unique experiences at Amore.
Not long ago, we held our second art therapy session, and it was another resounding success!
Through their artwork, our Amore Complex Care clients shared what’s important to them – whether it’s the joy of dancing, the comfort of a beloved teddy bear, or the fun of spa nights. These sessions not only give our complex care clients the chance to express themselves creatively but also provide us with valuable insights into their lives, allowing us to better tailor our care to their needs.
Lydia Powell of LP Art Therapy shared with us how the participants “showed a deep connection with their support staff, demonstrating during the session the coping mechanisms in place to support them working through difficult emotions.”
Whether they were “putting sad things in the bin” within their art or talking things through with our support teams, all of our clients were able to use their interests to support escaping negative emotions.
We’re incredibly proud of our clients and our support staff for making these sessions so inclusive. A special thanks to Lydia Powell for her expert guidance. We look forward to continuing these sessions and learning more from our amazing clients.
