Congratulations to Benjamin Muzhona on successfully being awarded a Team Leader position!
Career progression is a top priority for many of our candidates. Many want to move forward, ‘climb the ladder’ and access new challenges and further opportunities.
Last week, one of our contractors, Benjamin Muzhona, did just that.
Starting his health and social care career in 2016 as a support worker in a respite service, Benjamin then joined Amore Social Care’s Liverpool branch in 2019.
During this time, he has worked with several different clients and services, including supporting both vulnerable adults and children in addition to also working on care packages within our Amore Complex Care division.
When the pandemic first hit, to avoid cross-contamination between services, Benjamin worked exclusively within a children’s residential service supporting children with autism and challenging behaviours.
As the service user Benjamin worked with turned 18, they were transferred to a supported living service which our Liverpool branch provide contingency staffing for. Benjamin continued to support the young person, and after 6 months of working within this service a team leader position became available. Unfortunately, Benjamin was unsuccessful, however was instead offered a different team leader position at the service which Benjamin started last week.
On starting the position Benjamin commented,
“I am really enjoying my new role as team leader. It is strange that the roles have now been reversed, and I will now be ringing Ella at the Liverpool branch to support with covering any outstanding shifts, rather than the other way round.
“I am thankful to Amore for allowing me to work across a variety of different health and social care settings, to build my level of expertise and experience which has supported me in successfully securing this team leader position.”
We wish Benjamin the best of luck in his new position and look forward to picking up the phone to support him in fulfilling any of his staffing requirements!
