Dignity Action Day 2021

Today marks Dignity Action Day 2021.

The Oxford Dictionary defines dignity as “the fact of being given honour and respect by people”. Today is about highlighting people’s rights to dignity, to be respected for who they are and to understand how your actions can contribute to building someone’s trust in you to uphold their rights to dignity.

Everybody has their role to play in maintaining Dignity in Care and it is important on this day to remember that everybody has the right to be honoured and respected, including both the individuals in our care and those that are supporting them.

Here at the Amore Group, we recognise the intrinsic value of people as individuals and the specific nature of each person’s needs. Our aim is to maintain and promote dignity as part of the care and support we provide.
