Krystian Hudson, one of our contractors who works within our Amore Complex Care division, discusses why he has never looked back after completely changing his career path to start a career in care.

“I have been working in care for over 6 years and I find it to have been a life changing and constantly fulfilling experience. This is the only line of work that I have been in where I come home 90% of the time feeling like I have truly achieved something.

“Prior to working in care, I had been working as a contractor for several financial service companies. Although the roles were well paid, they were utterly soulless endeavours.

“One of my closest friends had been telling me for over a year about the support worker role he had and how much he loved it. I decided that I wanted to give it a go myself and after the first 2 weeks I knew it was something that I could put my heart into.

“The past 6 years have been a really happy experience and I have achieved so many things that I can take pride in and look back on as worthwhile once I’m older.

“Working for Amore has been another really refreshing change for me and I am really enjoying my time here. I have supported two services users full-time but currently focus on one gentleman who I support in his own home. I have developed a strong bond with him which has enabled me to have a firm grasp of his individual needs and requirements.

“There is still a lot more I want to achieve with this company and I’m optimistic about the future.”
