Marathon Month
Jog on Dementia is a marathon challenge with a difference brought to you by Alzheimer’s Society.
Over the next month Alix and Laura from the Complex Care Widnes Branch will be jogging 26.2 miles to raise £200 to help beat dementia.
20 people develop dementia every hour. By 2021, one million will be living with it in the UK.
Dementia doesn’t discriminate, it hits families hard and currently there’s no cure. Until the day that a cure is found, Alzheimer’s Society is there for everyone effected by dementia. Wherever they are, whatever they’re going through.
£200 means the National Dementia Helpline team can be there for 16 people this year. This lifeline is open seven days a week for anybody who needs them.
