Peggie Gleeson, our Complex Care Case Officer, shares some incredible news…

We have received some incredible news from Peggie Gleeson, our Complex Care Case Officer in our Widnes branch. Last Friday, after a 3 and a half year battle with Cancer, Peggie finally was able to ring the bell.

These past 12 months have been challenging for us all, but certainly for Peggie who has had a series of operations and treatment and due to Covid has had many appointments cancelled. But throughout it all, Peggie has never lost her humour and her positivity has shone throughout. We are all so proud of Peggie and are delighted that this day has finally come!

Throughout her battle, Peggie has been incredible and continued to work in our Amore Complex Care division as a case officer supporting our Complex Care clients, ensuring that these vulnerable individuals receive the support they so desperately need and has even at times covered shifts to ensure the support is in place.

On ringing the bell, Peggie was still completely selfless and commented,

“I would like to say a massive thank you for all the personal support I have received from Amore, and a special thanks to the directors Ian and Gareth, and to Joanne Aiken. The company have been hugely supportive over these past few years, even paying for driving lessons to stop me from walking everywhere and making sure I could attend my appointments.”

Congratulations Peggie!
