Supporting the Local Community

Our Director, Ian McDougall, has been continuing to distribute food parcels donated by Community Shop on behalf of Everton in the Community, the official charity of Everton Football Club, however this time for the Rotunda Summer Fun Hub holiday camp!

Everton in the Community is considered one of the top sporting charities in the UK, with the charity covering a wide range of social issues across Merseyside through its award-winning programmes.

Everton in the Community’s dedicated neighbourhood team, @efc_bluemile is a community partner of Rotunda, and support the 10,000+ residents living in the ‘Blue Mile’ the one mile radius of Goodison Park and beyond. The team work within the community to help those in need, providing opportunities and a point of contact, whilst supporting the work of Everton in the Community.

Rotunda offer a wide range of community events, activities and workshops. In addition to providing other means of support, including legal advice and counselling.

Funded by Riverside Group, a leading registered provider of social housing in the Liverpool City Region, Rotunda have teamed up with Everton in the Community to organise a summer holiday camp for Riverside Housing tenants and those in the wider community.

Now in their third week, the summer camp has been a roaring success, being attended by up to 30 families each week. Ian has been supporting in delivering food parcels to the summer camp to provide a free lunch to all those that attend. Whether it is chatting over lunch, baking or enjoying the Jo Malone London health and well-being garden together, the camp is certainly helping in bringing families together.

Sarah Atherton, Neighbourhood Manager at Everton in the Community, comments “Ian has been amazing and such a huge support in allowing us to help save lives during this unprecedented time.”

Well done to Ian and all those involved in helping support the #BlueMile community! 👏👏
