Thank You Ged and Edwina!
Although the weather may be turning grey, it always brightens our day to hear about the great work our staff are doing.
Our two support workers, Ged Grannell and Edwina Houghton, have recently demonstrated a remarkable level of dedication to supporting others during these challenging times.
Both have been travelling to Barrow in Furness for the past 3 weeks to work with a client with learning disabilities and extremely challenging behaviours. The client tested positive for COVID-19 but they insisted that they remain with them to ensure their safety and wellbeing, and were provided with full PPE throughout this period. This understandable was a very trying time for the home (which had contacted us in a crisis), service user and staff alike.
We would like to thank Ged and Edwina for their dedication to the client throughout this period. They both never left the service users side to ensure their safety and recovery.
